Women who live in the Tates Creek Road area are being told to be more cautious after an attempted abduction and a series of suspicious incidents.

On Sunday night, a woman reported a late model white Lincoln Town Car was driving near the Merrick Place Apartments, looking suspicious.

Then on Tuesday morning, a woman told Lexington police several men tried to force her into a Lincoln Town Car at the Old Farm Apartment Complex. She was able to fight them off and get away.

Another woman in the area reported a car matching that description with several men acting in a suspicious manner.

All three women say there were two black men and a white man in the car. All three were described as muscular and in their early twenties.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Police are warning women who live along that part of Tates Creek Road to be aware of the threat and keep an eye out for a car, matching that description.

Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to please contact the Personal Crimes Section at (859) 258-3700 or Bluegrass Crime Stoppers at (859) 253-2020.
