Man Wakes Up To Home Invasion

A Lexington man received quite a scare early Friday morning when he became the victim of a home invasion.

John Hernandez says he was asleep on his couch on Clay Avenue near East High Street when the burglar broke in.

Hernandez woke up to the light of a flash light, then chased the burglar out of his home.

Nothing was stolen and the suspect got away.

Hernandez says someone tried breaking into one of his neighbor's homes a few days ago by busting off a door's lock.

I say and still say,' Keep your gun nearby and use it,' home invasions will stop when the victims start fighting back.
