Friends Speak Out About UK Students' Deaths

Two University of Kentucky students have been killed and another injured when their car crossed the median of Interstate 75 and collided with a tractor-trailer rig.

Kentucky State Police say the crash occurred Sunday afternoon in Rockcastle County, south of Renfro Valley and about 40 miles south of Lexington.

Troopers said those killed were 20-year-old Thomas May of Louisville, who drove the sedan, and 18-year-old Bradley Hall of Rockfield, who was a front seat passenger.

A rear-seat passenger was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He is 18-year-old Ben Cooley of Harrodsburg. Hospital spokeswoman Melissa Hounshell says Cooley is listed in good condition.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution. He is 51-year-old James Donaldson of Oregon, Ohio.
