Friends Speak Out About UK Students' Deaths

Two University of Kentucky students have been killed and another injured when their car crossed the median of Interstate 75 and collided with a tractor-trailer rig.

Kentucky State Police say the crash occurred Sunday afternoon in Rockcastle County, south of Renfro Valley and about 40 miles south of Lexington.

Troopers said those killed were 20-year-old Thomas May of Louisville, who drove the sedan, and 18-year-old Bradley Hall of Rockfield, who was a front seat passenger.

A rear-seat passenger was flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He is 18-year-old Ben Cooley of Harrodsburg. Hospital spokeswoman Melissa Hounshell says Cooley is listed in good condition.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital as a precaution. He is 51-year-old James Donaldson of Oregon, Ohio.

I can't stop thinking about this, and I will pray for all three of these men's families, for Ben to get better, and for James Donaldson (the semi driver) to make it through experiencing a tragedy like this.

I've lost (2) close friends to motorcycle accidents and it's very hard to deal with something like this. My friends were (32) and (26) at the time of their deaths and they both had large, loving families, which made it that much harder. None of us know God's plan but rest assured that God knows what He's doing and all things happen for a reason. Earthly life is temporary and we all have an expiration date. Some of us live longer than others but some of us are taken much sooner. That's why I think it's imperative that we all should turn to Christ while we still have a chance and also help steer others to Him as well before it's too late!!! May God Bless the families of these two kids and their friends as well.

Bradley was such a blessing to everyone that knew him. He will be greatly missed in our community and especially in his church. May God comfort his family during these hard times.

Eternal rest grant to Thomas and Bradley O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them: may they rest in peace. Amen And may your healing touch be placed upon Ben that he may soon return to serving you. Lord, let your arms surround the members of their families so that the intensity of their grief may be softened.
