Downtown Lexington Building Treated For Bed Bugs

Relief is on the way for folks at downtown Lexington's Ballard Griffith Towers after bed bugs invade the building.

A pest control company began treating rooms Monday morning in part of the public housing complex.

The health department says nearly a fourth of the complexes rooms are infested.

On election day, the library had to be treated and quarantined off to protect voters who use the complex as a polling place.

Solving the bed bug problem won't be quick because it's expected to take until at least mid- December before treating the building is completed.
