Forestry Officials Are Still Battling Fires

Last week's rain helped put out many of the fires burning in the commonwealth, but forestry officials say they are currently fighting one fire in Pike County near the Kentucky - Virginia line.

Last week, fires popped up in many Kentucky counties, but officials say Friday's rain helped put out the flames.

Firefighters say they expect to see more fires.

More than two dozen Kentucky counties are under a burning ban.

The forest fire season runs through December 15th.
