NEW VIDEO: String Of Gas Station Robberies Investigated

Lexington Police are trying to determine if three recent gas station holdups are connected.

In the latest, the robber fired a round of shots before getting away from the Shell station at North Broadway and Haggard Lane Tuesday morning.

Police say when the suspect demanded money, the clerk ran off.

The robber then fired his handgun and ordered the clerk back to the register.

The clerk came back, opened the register and the robber emptied it out.

The suspect is described as a white man, standing 6' tall with a slim build.

He's believed to be in his late 20's and was wearing a camouflaged Carhartt jacket and a cap.

A suspect matching a similar description robbed the Shell on Saron Drive at Man O'War late Monday night.

Police are also working to solve a robbery at the Shell on Richmond Road at New Circle Saturday night.

If you have any information, you're asked to call Lexington Police at (859) 258-3600.

why don't they show the suspect's picture? It would also be beneficial if we could click on the pic to enlarge it--to actually see the person.

I'm glad wkyt is finally posting some of the specifics of the suspects (race, build, dress, etc.). However, why is it that they never mention race if the suspect is a minority?
