This Veterans Day is a little extra special for one man who served in WWII!

He lost all his medals in a house fire '30 years' ago!

83 year old Marion Rogers is a WWII veteran.

He received 11 war medals he lost in a house fire 30 years ago.

The celebration was held at the Golden Corral in Nicholasville today.

Rogers says he wasn't expecting to ever get the medals back, and was content with just his memories.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars helped replace Rogers' medals.
