One Year Case Of The Hiccups
Milton Betts says he's tried dozens of prescriptions, almost every folk remedy, and even went to the Mayo Clinic for nerve block surgery.

We've all had the hiccups, but it usually goes away quickly.

Don't tell that to a man living in Louisville, who says as of the end of November it will be one year he's been suffering with hiccups and the situation is getting worse.

Milton Betts says he's tried dozens of prescriptions, almost every folk remedy, and even went to the Mayo Clinic for nerve block surgery.

"I believe in God and I trust God, but I tell my wife sometimes if I got to be like this the rest of my life I'd just rather go on 'cause it's very frustrating,” Betts said.

Milton says he's also willing to under-go experimental treatment if it could help.

Milton, I had hiccups for a week straight and they finally stopped only after doing the following: Get a big glass of water, take small sips as quick as you can and keep swallowing as quick as you can. After you do this for a short time, you will be out of breath and feel like you are drowning. All of a sudden, you should feel a big burp coming on and away go the hiccups. You might have to do this two or two times before they finally go away for good. Lots of luck. You have my prayers and I hope this works for you.

Hey Milton, I know everyone has a solution but this seems to work, repeatedly, for different people (near 100%). Soak (drench it) a slice of lime with aromatic bitters (Angostura) and suck on it. It tastes horrible--but sems to work. Try it 2-3 times if it doesn't work right away...good luck.

Milton Betts might want to try NLP (Neurolinguistic Programing) or hypnosis, anything that accesses the unconscious mind. It is very very helpful. Please let me know if he receives this email. Blessings, Beth
