Cats may have nine lives but a Boyle County dog has at least two tonight!

He got caught in a hunter's trap and had to be rescued from atop a cliff.

The dog is doing fine this evening, suffering some minor injuries to his paw.

Garrad County officials tell us, trapping season started earlier this week, but they are still looking to see if the trap was where it was supposed to be when the dog got caught.

Live traps need to be outlawed! This is an extremely cruel contraption and if hunters want to use them, they should have to wear one for 24 hours before subjecting a poor animal to it.
