Salvation Army Predicts Fewer Donations

It is a sound normally heard closer to Christmas, but thanks to the slumping economy, some chapters of the Salvation Army are out with their famous red kettles and bells, hoping to ring in more donations.

You will start hearing the bells in Perry County the day after Thanksgiving.

Local officials say they are seeing a greater demand this year, but are predicting fewer donations to help fill the increased need.
