One Dozen People Are Facing Drug Charges

One dozen people including a former jail employee are facing drug charges.

Middlesboro police arrested several suspected drug dealers early Wednesday morning.

Most are charged with trafficking controlled substances.

38-year-old Manford Allen Martin, is a former Bell County Jail employee.

Officials say Martin quit his job at the jail about three months ago.

Others arrested include:

• Michael D. Gilbert, 31, Upper Gibson Lane – Trafficking 1st (Methadone)

• Laura Lee Lovett, 37, Beans Fork – Trafficking 1st (Methadone)

• Crystal Gail Smith, 30, Hink Heights – Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• John A. McDaniel, 41, Noetwon – Trafficking within 1,000 yards of a school (Alprazolam)

• Sherry L. Owens, 36, Old Pineville Pike - Trafficking within 1,000 yards of a school (Marijuana)

• Michael Dale Brooks, 24, Beans Fork – Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• Manford Allen Martin, 38, Robinson Lane – Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• Debbie L. Kimbrough, 48, West End Trailer Park - Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• Becky L. Avans, 23, 15th Street – Trafficking 1st (OxyCodone)

• Rita F. Williams Smith, 49, Hinks Heights – Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• Tiffany R. Baker, 22, Dorchester – Trafficking 2nd (Hydrocodone)

• Thelma D. Partin, 63, Park Manor - Trafficking 1st (OxyCodone)
