Missing Woman Case Takes New Twist

The search for a Lexington woman missing for more than six years, takes a twist in Eastern Kentucky.

Joyce Crider was last seen in October 2002, on her way to see her now ex-husband.

Police have searched all over the state for clues, and Wednesday their investigation took them to a cistern near Prestonsburg in Floyd County.

Crider disappeared more than six years ago when she was on her way to meet her estranged husband to finalize their divorce.

Police found her car abandoned in a parking lot on Winchester Road in Lexington six weeks after she vanished, but it never provided any clue as to where she was.

They've conducted several searches since then for her body. The last was in 2007 at an industrial park in Perry County. So far, no leads have turned up.
