Eastern Kentucky Hospitals Go Smoke-Free

In conjunction with the American Cancer Society's "Great American Smokeout", many hospitals across Kentucky went smoke-free Thursday.

Officials at saint joseph's Hospital in London put up banners and signs around campus to remind patients and workers of the change.

"Our mission is to promote and to have an a healthier community, for our patients, for our visitors and for our staff here," said Healthy Community Outreach Director June Rawlings.

Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg and Saint Joseph's Hospital in Martin also went smoke-free.
