Man Accused of Setting Apartment Fire Innocent

A man who was accused of setting fire to his own Lexington apartment complex has been aquitted.

A federal jury found Michael Mitchell "not guilty" this afternoon.

Investigators said he set a fire at Kirklevington Apartments in February of last year in an effort to get out of his lease.

The apartment complex caught fire several times within a short period of time, but Mitchell was only charged in one of those fires.

Today he was found "not guilty" of that charge.
