President Bush Visits Fort Campbell

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - President George W. Bush is at Fort
Campbell in Kentucky thanking troops for their service and having
lunch with about 150 soldiers, many of them just back from Iraq and
Afghanistan.

"Job well done," Bush told about 7,500 military personnel and
others packed in a hangar on a chilly morning two days before
Thanksgiving.

So far in November, 10,000 soldiers have returned to Fort
Campbell from Iraq and Afghanistan. Thousands of others, though,
are getting ready to deploy.

He told them: "You have taken the battle against the terrorists
overseas so we do not have to face them here in the United
States."
