Destruction Date Pushed Back

The destruction of some leaky nerve agents stored in Madison County has been pushed back again.

The Bluegrass Army Depot project will be pushed back four more years to 2021.

The Herald Leader says the redesigned demilitarization building that will neutralize the weapons has exceeded budget and the overall cost of destruction has gone up.

There's a congressional deadline of 2017, but the defense department will apparently ask for an extension.
