Wife Killed, Husband Arrested

A newlywed is dead after being shot to death in her home. Police say her husband pulled the trigger.

It happened Thanksgiving morning in the Maytown community of Floyd County. That's just outside Martin.

Police say Joshua Mock called them around 2:45a.m., saying he had shot his wife in the neck during a fight. Police found 28-year old Linda Mock in the home. She was taken to a St. Joes Hospital in Martin, where she died.

Joshua Mock told police the shooting was self defense. Police charged him with murder. Mock is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center without bond.

Neighbors say the couple just got married last weekend.

But all i have to say is That TC can get a life and [edited]

Linda we will miss you and you will always be in our hearts. Linda was a small girl if she had a knife, there was Josh and a witness, Josh could have taken the knife, but im sure between the both of them he didnt have to shoot her. She left behind 4 beautiful kids that loved there mommy and need her, just like Josh's baby needs him there are so many lives destroyed by this and I pray for both family's because they are both good people, but i pray for all the kids the most.

This is a real shock to me.I have known Josh all of his life.He was never a violent type.I just cant understand what went wrong but there had to be something. His daughter was his world. He would never want to be away from her. But,he was such a loving guy everyone liked him. Please be praying for both of the familys.

LOL at TC. Amen my friend. Men never seem to move fast enough for the wife. But to the topic at hand, Self defense......hmmmm its a stretch i think. Tammy i see your point abiout the woman needing a deadly weapon, but unless she was packing a gun i feel there was no reason to shoot her. Even if she was wielding a knife, he could have overpowered and subdued **terrible spelling** her then called the police. what strikes me as odd is the above story states neighbors say they heard no fighting and no gunshots. Yet then states police say they have a wittness?? Odd if u ask me will be interested to hear more details.
