Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Identified

The Thanksgiving Holiday turned tragic in Lexington with the death of a motorcyclist.

Investigators identified the victim as Michael Allen Shopp, 27, of Lexington.

Police say the biker was heading down Lexington's Gladman Way when investigators say a Ford pickup truck turned in front of him.

According to investigators, the driver of the motorcycle tried to put the bike on the ground to avoid the crash but still collided with the truck head-on.

No charges have been filed.

    It is very sad that these things happen, my thoughts and prayers go out to the family. My family is very familiar with tragedy.

    I just want to say thank you for your prayers and thought for the family this is one of his sister and we miss him very much. He was a good bother and a good friend I will really miss him

    mike shopp was my manager at amazon. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of his family. He was very respected manager and will be truly missed. May god bless his family.

    I don't see how you can kill a person and no charges being filed.
