Beshear Meets With President-Elect

Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear is among a group of the nation's governors, pleading with the President-Elect for financial help.

President-Elect Barack Obama is met with Beshear and others in Philadelphia on Tuesday.

The recession has left many states struggling to keep programs in place just as needs are increasing.

Kentucky faces an almost half billion dollar budget shortfall between now and next summer.

Beshear says he favors an economic stimulus package, including help for states, that the Obama wants on his desk when he is sworn into office.

Well its funny how Moberly said we can't let the government go under just like a liberal government first people second. This is going to be a fun four years sit back and watch the kooks run the country four years will be enough trust me.

I think that the casino idea should be put on the ballot. If it is going to save this great state then let's do it. We are 49th only to Mississippi in a lot of areas, so let's boost Kentucky's revenue, not Indiana.

If the goverment can bail out banks that knew they were making loans that were unstable they might as well help the rest of us out to. True the money will somehow come from the public, but in the time of need we need to stick together instead of falling apart.
