Focus on the Family in Eastern Kentucky

Officials with focus on the family are following the progress of families "declaring hope" across eastern Kentucky. The Declare Hope initiative challenges families to improve their relationships and help them address the issues of their community. Officials say the progress is good.

Mikely Haley with Focus on the Family says, "Families need to understand that just sitting down together at dinner at night and talking about some of the more difficult issues can help keep their kids later possibly from even trying or getting addicted to drugs and alcohol."

Focus on the Family will return to eastern Kentucky in January with a follow up program about raising healthy kids.
