Meth Lab Explodes With Two Children Inside The Home

An eastern Kentucky mother is arrested after a meth lab explodes at a home with two children inside.

It happened around 11pm Tuesday night in the Littleton community of Clay County.

Sheriff Kevin Johnson tells Mountain News the small lab blew up in one man's face and he is now recovering at the UT Burn Center.

A 4-year-old inside the home was treated for an eye irritation and a 14-year old was treated for a skin irritation.

Police arrested the children's mother, Diane Hubbard.

She is charged with wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, and manufacturing meth.

Police have not released the name of the man injured in the explosion, but say they plan to charge him with manufacturing meth.
