Meth Lab Explodes With Two Children Inside The Home

An eastern Kentucky mother is arrested after a meth lab explodes at a home with two children inside.

It happened around 11pm Tuesday night in the Littleton community of Clay County.

Sheriff Kevin Johnson tells Mountain News the small lab blew up in one man's face and he is now recovering at the UT Burn Center.

A 4-year-old inside the home was treated for an eye irritation and a 14-year old was treated for a skin irritation.

Police arrested the children's mother, Diane Hubbard.

She is charged with wanton endangerment, endangering the welfare of a minor, and manufacturing meth.

Police have not released the name of the man injured in the explosion, but say they plan to charge him with manufacturing meth.

Mother's like that dont need children. If they put their children at risk,I say give them to someone who will love them and take care of them and keep them away from that sort of danger. Sorry, it just makes me mad, when women that can have children dont care anymore about them than they do an animal.

it's bad enough adults do things like this, but they have no regards for their children,, what are these people thinking??

Officials just simply don't realize how meth takes over your life. They say "just stop" but it's not that simple...you can't....no matter how hard you try. One day you wake up and your whole life is destroyed, a rut that you can't dig out of. Many people tweaked out on meth have underlying mental illnesses. This isn't an excuse it's a fact. These people need prayer and plenty of it.
