Theft Suspect Dies In Jail

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - A theft suspect being held in an eastern
Kentucky jail has died.
The Fayette County coroner's office says 36-year-old Bradley
Sons of Stanton was found unresponsive in his cell and died about
12 hours later at the University of Kentucky Hospital.
A Powell County jail employee told the Lexington Herald-Leader
that Sons was brought to the jail Friday afternoon and had been
charged with theft by unlawful taking.
The coroner's office says Sons was found in his cell Saturday
night, and pronounced dead Sunday morning.
An autopsy was being conducted Monday in Frankfort but the
coroner's office hasn't released a cause of death.

Jaime from Campton, Ky. I'm not sure if I know you, but I would like to thank you for your kind comments about my son. I am very sorry for your loss also. Everyone whom knew Bradley knew what a good guy he was. He was one of the most kind-hearted, sweetest natured human beings you would ever hope to meet and I thank you. Brad's Mom

You did not post my first three comments, but in one of them I told you Brad did not pass away 12 hours later at the hospital. He was gone long before he left PCDC. That is why we will be holding a vigil there because that is where he truly passed away.

PLEASE, HEAR THE PLEA!!! If you have had a relative, friend or have any personal knowledge of any of the incidents that have occurred at the Powell County (Stanton) Detention Center get in touch with us. WKYT has my email address. Maybe they would be kind enough to pass your information along to me. I heard through the grapevine tonight that the Jailer of the facility has resigned. I don't know how true it is, but if it is true, I have not seen it reported on ANY newscast. You have to wonder why??? I know I do. Thank you so much TRW for your interest and believe me when I say this is only just beginning. My heartfelt thanks & God Bless You. Brad's Mom

If you have a loved one that died at the Detention Center in the last six months or so, please post the names of the invididuals here. There maybe more than a story, but rather a class action lawsuit if Detention Center Staff are involved in the deaths or had careless indeference toward sick inmates and denied them proper medical attention.

I just want to let people know we do not have the reports back yet on Brad. I do plan to get everyone that loved him together for a vigil outside the Detention Center where his life actually ended. I have been searching for an article on the female that died there the next weekend yet, but have been unable to find it. If anyone has seen it, please post what I need to look under to find it.

I noticed there was no name of email address for the local reporter that wrote this article. I would like that information from WKYT. If WKYT could post that on this comment log I would appreciate it. Thank you. To "Mom", I will do everything within my power to help you get answers to this tragedy. I've been searching for my next story to write, and I will write it if no one else deems it worthy.

"Mom", I'm glad you will set-up a blog if answers aren't provided. I would like to follow this story until all answers are provided. I'm a free lance writer and would very much like to write Brad's story. It has peaked my interest and stirred me to anger. This story speaks to my heart and therefore I feel compelled to write about this story if the local media does not pick-up this story and investigate and provide follow-up articles. I would love to hear more about Brad from his friends, co-wor I hope they read this and will also comment giving me more insight into Brad's life. I would also like to know the results of the autopsy report. If I write a freelance story on Brad's life and what happened to him, agent and my publish have expressed interest and await a draft. I will need docments, conduct interviews with family members, friends, law enforcement, coroner's office and hospital medical personnel. I hope the local media will take the lead on this story, if not, I am prepared.

I want to thank all of you for your wonderful comments. Brad was one of the sweetest & kindest people you would ever hope to meet. He was one of the sweetest babies ever born into this world & the way he left it was totally senseless. It could have & SHOULD have been prevented. There will BE ANSWERS!!! If they remove this article, you will be able to find the answers as we get them as I intend to set up a BLOG in order to keep everyone apprised of answers as we receive them. This is absolutely NOT just going to GO AWAY!! Also, I question WHY we see follow-up stories on animal abuse newscast after newscast, but NOTHING on things of this nature.

I am disgusted with our entire judicial system in this country. Why do hardened criminals keep being released back into society to offend again. To Jamie and Brad's family, I am sorry for your loss. This news report just set off something in me that wants answers?? It is sad that the news report doesn't reflect that Brad was a good guy. Can the local media there investigate this further and find out what Brad was arrested for in the first place and what caused his death. A fol If he hadn't been arrested, he most likely would still be alive!! What exactly happened? What did he die of? I live in FL and am personally sick of seeing so much emphasis and resources waisted on petty crimes which never get solved and the murder rate in our state continues to climb along with Judges not sentencing hardened criminals to life.
