Police Search For Bank Robber

Investigators in Jessamine County are on the lookout for a robber.

Police say a man, armed with a handgun, held up the Kentucky Bank in Wilmore. That's on South Lexington Avenue. It happened at around 9:30 Tuesday morning.

Police tell us the man demanded cash from a teller and put it in rust colored pillow case.

Both Wilmore police and the FBI are reviewing surveillance video from the bank to try to identify the robber.

He's described as being African-American, weighing more than 200 lbs and standing more than six feet tall. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black hooded parka with gray fur and a black ski mask.
