Police Catch Up With Bank Robbery Suspect

Lexington police nabbed a suspect quickly after a bank robbery Tuesday afternoon.

It happened at the Central Bank on Richmond Road just before two.

Police say the suspect went into the bank and handed the teller a note, demanding money.

Police chased the suspect for a few minutes, but eventually caught up with him at another Chase bank location at the corner of Man O'War and Maple Leaf.

Police say the robbery suspect, who has not yet been identified, was a passenger in a white SUV.

The female driver was questioned by police. Her identity has not yet been released.
