Fatal Crash On Christmas Eve

A pair of car accidents Wednesday night in different counties leave one person dead and another in the hospital.

Police say 30 year old Bryan Tackett of Hi Hat was travelling west on highway 122 in Floyd County about 7:00pm Wednesday night when he lost control of his car, left the road and hit a storage trailer.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word on what caused the accident.

In Knox County, a man is in the hospital after losing control of his car.

Police say James Hinkle II was coming out of a private driveway on Charter Oaks Road near Barbourville when he lost control and hit an embankment around 10:30pm Wednesday night.

Hinkle was flown to UT Medical Center for his injuries.

Officers say he was not wearing his seatbelt and alcohol is suspected in the crash.

No word on his condition.

Bryan is my son. Our family will never recover from this tragic accident. Please pray for Bryan's family. I don't know how we are suppose to go on with our lives! Bryan's birthday is this Friday(May 8). How are we suppose to celebrate this without him????? I wish that Bryan could come to his Dad in a dream or however to let him know to not give up on life. Gary is sad with his life now. I don't know if he is going to survive this.
