Travelers Opt For Christmas Day Flights

Many travelers at the Bluegrass Airport opted to fly on Christmas day to avoid crowds and find bargain tickets.

After the morning rush, airline officials say it was a steady stream of travellers waiting to take off. Travelers cited different reasons to fly the day of, from splitting time between families to cheaper tickets during hard economic times.

Airline workers tell us the day has gone by smoothly so far, especially because the weather cooperated for the most part here in the Bluegrass.

Workers say travelers are usually in a good mood on Christams, except when there are delays and bad weather.
