The cars rolled in as people filled the City of Refuge Church in Olympia to honor 13-year Kayla Withrow and her sister 12-year old Lucy. After a vigil earlier this week and a visitation Friday for the girls, Kayla and Lucy were laid to rest Saturday, giving the community a chance to say goodbye.

The girls died in a house fire earlier this month in their Bath County family home.

Libby Smith, the girls' Sunday school teacher says she still feels their absence weeks after their death.

As the caskets were carried out by the girls' brothers and family, a church full of people streamed out in support of the Withrows, many with special stories to tell.

Parents Virgil and Marietta Withrow and younger brother A.J. have all been released from the hospita, but 15-year old Danielle Withrow is still listed in serious condition at UK Hospital.

i was one of lucys best friends and i sort of knew kayla but not veery much it was a horrible day when everyone heard me and toni was the closest to lucy than anyone was at the school.she was always happy and even if she wasn't you could never tell and when you were sad she always knew how to cheer you up.she was a very good friend,a good person, everyone did love her a lot,it will never be the same without her but she is in a much better place and the only way to get over that fact is to just think that someday we will see her again in heaven but hopefully a very long time from now but things like that happen everyday.
