Israel Presses Its Attack

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip (AP) - Israel's prime minister says the
aerial destruction in Gaza is only phase one.
A spokesman for Ehud Olmert says he's told President Shimon
Peres that "several" phases of attack have been approved as
Israel keeps up its relentless string of air attacks on Hamas-ruled
Gaza today.
Thousands of Israeli ground troops massed along the border and
waited for a signal to attack.
The U.N. says more than 360 Palestinians have been killed, most
of them members of Hamas security forces but at least 64 of them
In Gaza City, five government buildings were badly damaged in
air attacks today.
Militants have pressed on with their assaults, killing three
Israeli civilians and a soldier and escalating with an arsenal of
longer-range missiles, shifting the battles closer to Israel's
Past Israeli operations all failed to stop the rocket attacks.
