Police Make Drug Arrest In Jail Parking Lot

MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) - State police say they have arrested two drug suspects who were parked outside a western Kentucky jail.

State police say an ongoing investigation led Trooper Nick Rice to a vehicle parked at the Hopkins County Detention Center. Police say a search of the vehicle on Monday turned up marijuana and a large amount of cash.

Both occupants were charged with possession of marijuana and lodged inside the jail.
