Arctic Air Hits The Bluegrass

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Bundle up! Freezing temperatures have come to Kentucky to stay for a few days.

National Weather Service meteorologist John Denman says temperatures around the state will hit single digits by Friday. That's the coldest weather Kentucky has had in more than four years.

Denman says temperatures in Louisville are expected to reach a low of 5 degrees by Friday morning, while Lexington may get down to zero and it's expected to be about 4 degrees in Bowling Green.

Denman says the last time single digits spanned the state was December 2004, when a massive snowstorm plowed the midwest and
dropped several inches around Kentucky.

This time, the forecast is a dry one. Denman says there may be some flurries over the next two days, but no significant snow is expected.

I'm eating a lot of chili these days, so natural gas is the way for me. It does two things; keeps my wife from bugging me and saves me money...LOL!
