The journey begins for Campbellsville University students heading to Washington to witness the Inauguration of the nation's 44th President and the first African-American President in U.S. history.

The trip didn't come easy for this group of 42 students and their chaperones, who spent months to raise the $25,000 needed to go.

Students say though their university may be a smaller one in the state, they say they shouldn't be underestimated.

The group expects to arrive in Washington on Saturday and will stay until Wednesday.

Have you simple minded liberals ever stopped to think (even though I know it's tough and makes your heads hurt) that MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, dislike for Obama has NOTHING to do with the color of his skin? And you say Republicans are close-minded?

Isn't it kind of funny that people are complaining the economy is terrible, they have to be careful about their spending and jobs are scare YET they can spend money to travel to DC for the inaugaration when they could have watched in on their own television. I think priorities are askew if you asked me. And I don't care who was getting sworn in; I'd say it if it was a Republican as well. Don't complain about the economy when you are foolishly spending your money.

Does anyone else see the irony in our Governor attending this grand party while we are in "budget crisis"? How much tax-payer money was spent by our Governor on his private jet, limo, driver, hotel room, shipments of KY bourbon, etc. All of this while he wants low-paying state employees to take 3-12 days off without pay. God help us!!!

Shut up! The mess you are referring to was made with the complete help of a Democratic Congress and because of a war whether or not you think it was justified. Just remember; if Clinton would have done his job in going after Bin Laden when they had him, 9-11 would never have happened. You tree hugging liberals kill me but I guess that's better than getting killed by terrorists. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!
