Ky. Auditions To Be Featured On Idol

American Idol fans, get ready for a little bluegrass flavor.

Wednesday night the hit show will feature the auditions taped in Louisville.

More than 10,000 hopefuls tried out in the Derby City. The callback round was held at Churchill Downs.

Louisville TV stations report only a total of about 25 contestants made it far enough to sing for the judges.

I watched this and do not know what happened. There are many people in KY who can really sing well but it was not reflected in the auditions. A few were really good but I think a few made it to the finals for entertainment purposes only. Congrats to the ones who made it to hollywood!!

More than 25 made it far enough to sing for the judges. Maybe only 25 made it to Hollywood. The previews showed on redneck actually looking like he was threatening one or more of the judges. Yep, KY is proudly portrayed by that guy...LOL!
