A young Kentucky woman vanishes. Now her family and police are trying to figure out where she is.

27-year old Nicole Vanzant was last seen Monday in Menifee County.

Family members have been passing out fliers in Frenchburg this week, trying to find someone who might have seen her.

Vanzant was last seen at the Dollar General store in Frenchburg. Family members say she was in a car with a friend but they got into an argument so Vanzant got out of the car.

Her family says it is unusual for her to not be in contact with them.

She was last seen wearing a white sweater, blue jeans, a leather jacket, pearl earrings and cowboy boots.

Police have opened a missing persons investigation and her information has been put into a national database.

However, since she is an adult, police say she's not required to come home or even check in.

If you've seen Vanzant, contact state police.
