Every Inter County Electric Customer Out Of Power

Inter County RECC says electric crews from Georgia are helping restore power.

The Co-op, based in Danville serves 25,000 customers in 12 counties including Boyle, Garrard and Lincoln and as of Wednesday officials say every customer did not have power.

The problem facing the area is ice covering trees that have toppled over or limbs that have broken, breaking power lines.

Even substations suffered major damage.

The electric service officials say it may be several days before all the power is restored.

We are in our 11th day without power on Rogers Road. We are one of 12 houses without power with all surrounding KU customers up and running since last Thursday. We have a flat lot to approach the transformer. No broken poles. This is truly Garrard County's "Katrina".

There is a few houses (4-5) on Rogers Road that do not have power. Everyone on all sides has electricity restored with the exception of our few houses on the South side of Rogers Road. We can't seem to get through to Inter County and when we do they tell us that they are aware of the lack of electricity to our home. I agree with Heather that they should be more prepared for situations given the major population of Garrard County is rural.

We still have no power and no one can tell us anything because they do not know anything. This is a disappointment as Inter-County was not prepared and they do not know how to handle this situation.

Where can we go to get an update as to when crews will be working at restoring power in this area. It has now been 9 days and still no power. The worse part is you can't get anyone at Inter County to let you know any type of status. Hwy 152 is a main artery into Springfield and they also seem to be down. It would be so nice if Inter County could publish a grid system showing a visual status so people could at least see some progress. Could you let me know when crews will be working on Cap Bottom Ln which is off of Hwy 152. I cannot leave as I have animals to tend to and will totally be out of power on Friday or Saturday as the RV I am linking into will be out of gas by then and I can't drive it to fill it up with gas. Please help.

We have been without electric for 8 days. Everyone else on our road has electric. There are four of us at the end of our road that still do not have electric. Any idea when we may hope to get electric?

Is there anyway you can give us an idea when our power will be back on, going on now foe seven days, Someone told me it could be two weeks before we get power, please tell me this isn't true. Just wanting to know if there is any guesses of how long it will take?

My family and I are going on our seventh day without power. As for the communication on the web or phone lines with inter county there has been NONE!!! K.U. and Blue grass energy sure have kept their customers informed very well. We pay higher bills for what? This is a disgrace. All you have to do is look online or call the other companies phone lines and be informed. Nothing from inter county. THANKS! PAYING CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!!............

5 days with no power and you don't even see anyone out working on the lines anywhere. If you live out in the county you are always the last to get power.
