More Snow Falls Across State

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Kentucky highway crews are working to clear roads as more snow falls across portions of the state.

Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Mark Brown said that by late morning, crews were treating roads in 15 counties. He said plowing was under way in six others and crews were spot treating in
35 counties.

More than 200,000 residents and businesses are still without power in Kentucky after a massive winter storm struck the state last week causing millions of dollars in damages.

The FCPS superintendent was apparently snug inside oblivious to the weather too Jessica. Frankfort's roads were horrible and she stated she wasn't letting school out because she thought the snow would let up. Maybe she could tap into some available resources (like weather radar) next time and make a more sound decision rather than making kids go home at the usual time on even slicker and more dangerous roads. Whoever has contracts for snow cleanup in Frankfort is doing an extremely lousy job. And whoever is running that state pickup truck with the snow plow at the CHR Bldg needs to slow down before he kills someone.

Mr. Brown was obviously not out driving today. Have you seen Frankfort? There is not a road here that is even close to clean. I have slid around these "white" roads all day and have not seen even one snow plow. Even 127 is distasterous. I'm beginnig to wonder if they worked today at all.
