Storm Damage Causes Morning Commute Delays

The damage left behind by the strong winds and severe storms continues to be felt across the state.

It prompted a longer morning commute for a number of drivers in Lexington Thursday morning.

Some stop lights at intersections were dark or flashing.

The lights were off for much of the morning at North Broadway and Haggard Lane, near I-75.

Lights were fixed at New Circle at Liberty and South Broadway at Angliana prior to the morning commute.

Debris also made for treacherous travel.

Johnston Road in North Lexington was blocked due to a large tree that fell in the road.
