Visitation For Slain Police Officer

A community continues to mourn a Lebanon police officer found shot to death in his Taylor County home.

Officer David Ford's visitation begins Thursday at four at Lyon Dewitt Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

His funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Campbellsville Baptist Church, with a burial to follow.

Ford's wife found his body inside their home on Tuesday afternoon. Police say he died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.

So far, police have not made any arrests in the case.

    It takes a coward to do this to this man.. This man has a family to support and loves. I just dont understand how someone can just go and take someones life for whatever reason. My heart goes out to the family members as well as the police officers who worked with him. This is hard to deal with from a police officers aspect. This officers are brothers and sisters, they stick together. I hope justice is found for this man and his family and friends. I hope this coward is caught soon and made an example!!! My prayers go out to all!!!
