Former Oakwood employee Gary Mounce pleaded guilty to an amended charge of reckless abuse of an adult by a caretaker. Judge David Tapp ordered him to serve 60 days in jail and he's also agreed to a lifetime ban in patient or resident care.

"He's agreed to never look for that type of job again, never to work in that type of jobs again and that's an extremely important result," said Mary Cartwright with the Kentucky Attorney General's Office.

Trials are scheduled next month for three other Oakwood workers accused of either abuse or neglect of residents at the Somerset home for mentally challenged adults.
