A 17-year old Pulaski County youth is arrested after a failed attempt to rob the Food Fair Grocery store.
The store is arguably the worst location in town to rob, because it's literally a few yards away from the Somerset Police Station. Investigators say the suspect stormed into Food Fair late Tuesday night, pointed a gun at a cashier and demanded money. But the gunman didn't get the cash, because the manager snuck up behind the teen, took his gun, and then chased him out of the store.
Food Fair workers immediately called police; they arrived in less than 60 seconds. Five minutes later police had the teenage robbery suspect in cuffs. Now, the Somerset teen is facing robbery charges and he's learning the hard lesson; that the law is always watching, especially when it's just across the street.
