A trip to the Red River Gorge turned tragic, when a prominent Lexington businessman fell to his death on Saturday.

27 SKYFIRST went to the scene Monday in the Cliffview Resort near Wolfe County. It's believed the chair Donnie Miller was sitting in collapsed, sending him over the edge of a cliff.

Friends and family have described Donnie Miller as a self-made success story who loved the people around him but eventually died in a place he loved.

Family friend Charles Atinay says Miller loved the cabin and often went there to take a retreat from the city.

Friends and family have described Miller as a generous man and are suggesting contributions be made to God's Pantry or the Lexington Rescue Mission.

Miller's visitation will be held Tuesday night from 5:00 to 8:00 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Road. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 in the morning.
