Court Order Against Oil Company Behind Water Contamination

One day after filing a lawsuit, the state gets a court order against an Eastern Kentucky oil company.

The order allows the state to bring contempt of court charges against Childers Oil if the company is responsible for any further leaks.

The company is blamed for two separate incidents that left water contaminated and usable for people in Letcher County, including one only two weeks ago.
