Murder Arrest Brings Some Relief to People on Loudon Avenue
27 NEWSFIRST has learned new information about a Lexington murder case. Police now say a deadly stabbing on East Loudon Avenue was a random attack.
Thursday police arrested 28-year old Michael Scott Johnson.
He's accused of killing Jorge Garcia Arroyo back in August.
People living in the neighborhood say they're relieved that police have made an arrest, but that they're still concerned about the amount of crime in their community.
The Lexington Police Department sponsors a website called Citizens Crime Watch (http://crimewatch.lfucg.com). The website features a map that shows colored markings representing crimes that have happened on Loudon Avenue in the last six months.
One neighbor says Thursday's murder arrest is a step in the right direction, for a street he says is heading in the wrong direction.
