School System Is Looking For Ways To Save Money

Administrators at one eastern Kentucky school say they're trying to find ways to save money this school year.

Pike County officials say the problem started last year when they didn't get as much money from local property taxes and state funding as they planned.

Officials say the majority of the 80 million dollar budget goes to pay teacher salaries, but they don't want layoffs, so they're trying to save money in other ways.

Officials say they might consider a property tax increase to raise more money.
