Coroner: Child Had Infection

We're learning more about what may have led to the death of a two-year-old boy.

The Rowan County coroner tells 27 NEWSFIRST an autopsy showed Nathaniel Jones had an abdominal infection.

Police say his mother, Tiea Jones, found the toddler unresponsive at their home just outside of Morehead, earlier this week.

He was taken to the hospital where he later died.

The exact cause of death has yet to be determined.

This boy died of injuries that caused an infection. His mother allowed him to be in situations that placed him in harm's way. I hope the coroner realizes that.
