An accident involving a coal truck has left one person dead and three others in the hospital.
It happened on route 292 in Martin County when police say a vehicle driven by Ira Nichols of Warfield collided with a coal truck, causing it to veer into the path of another vehicle driven by 42-year-old Mitchell Duncan of Inez.
Duncan was pronounced dead at the scene by the Martin County Coroner's Office.
Nichols and a passenger, along with the driver of the coal truck, Joey Fields of Pinsonfork, were transported to the South Williamson ARH where they are listed in stable condition.
