A desperate act by a criminal makes for quite the mess at a Scott county business.

Someone broke into the J&L pharmacy on South Broadway in Georgetown early this morning by throwing a rock through the front door.

Cameras captured the burglar's every move. From the time he walks up to the front door, throws the rock, goes inside and take three bottles of Loritab and crawls back out the front door.

It took less than 45 seconds to commit the crime.

Georgetown police say with the state of our economy these type of crimes will be on the increase.

Those are expensive and just don't fit stores like they do in malls I guess. But yeah, we'll probably start seeing more security on stuff like that pretty soon.

I'm concerned as to why the drugs were so obviously exposed and easy to get to by simply shattering glass. I feel like drugs should be kept locked up, much like behind the metal security screens stores use in the malls. Seems the pharmacy's and drug company would come up with a better plan to prevent such easy access.
