A woman is fighting for her life after she was hit by a truck late Monday night.

Police say Kathy Salisbury was hit while walking down College Street in Harrodsburg.

Officers have determined Salisbury was dragged from College Street to the corner of West Office Street and Park.

They say after being hit, the driver took off.

EMS transported her to UK where she is listed in critical condition at this time.

Kathy Salisbury was only able to tell police a "big, loud truck" hit her.

Her family is asking for anyone with information to please come forward. Her daughter Brea says she has undergone multiple surgeries and has damage to her hands, arms, legs, feet, back, and internal injuries. She is listed in critical condition at UK Hospital.

The Mercer County Crime Stoppers are offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible.

Police say they will be charged with leaving the scene of an accident. Other charges could be pending.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Harrodsburg Police Department at 859-734-3311.
