Mayor Teresa Isaac told listeners she wants Lexington Mall turned into a softball field, all because the developer hasn't called her back.

Mayor Isaac said the property has been abandoned and she wants to make it for public use.

The Mayor says she has left message after message with the developer of the mall, now the Mayor says she's taking matters into her own hands.

Mayor Isaac wants to use the city's power of imminent domain to take over Lexington Mall.

Issac's challenger Jim Newberry doesn't think this is a laughing matter.

Newberry tells 27 NEWSFIRST imminent domain isn't the way to solve the problem.
