Some famous faces were serving up dinner at the Hazard Applebee's Tuesday, all for a good cause.
Senator Brandon Smith and former WYMT anchor Chas Gayheart were among the celebrity servers helping The Kentucky River Children's Advocacy center fight child abuse. Customers made donations for fun activities throughout the night, supporting something very serious.
"The bottom line of what we are going is not fun, it's not enjoyable, it's the sad fact that there are children who require these services," says Melissa Quillen with the Children's Advocacy Program.
The local Children's Advocacy Center provided service to more than 2,000 physically and sexually abused children since they opened ten years ago.
