A Lexington high school is mourning the loss of a student killed in a crash that injured three of his classmates Monday night. The Fayette County Coroner says 15-year-old Nathanial Lee Stuckey died at the scene.

Three other students were taken to UK Hospital. That include 17-year-old Nicolas Petit-Frere, 16-year-old Jasmine Marks, and 17-year-old Kierra Fulz. Petit-Frere and Marks are listed in critical condition at UK Hospital. Fulz is listed in fair condition. All three are juniors at Bryan Station High School.

Grief Counselors are on-hand at Bryan Station High School in Lexington today to help students, faculty and staff deal with the loss.

The Toyota Camry in which they were riding ran into a rock wall along Russell Cave Road in Lexington near Faulkner Avenue.

Investigators believe the driver, Nicholas Petit-Frere was going too fast outbound Russell Cave when the car went off the road, hit a rock fence and eventually a tree.

15-year-old Stuckey was riding in the front passenger seat. He was a freshman at Bryan Station High School.

School leaders say although it was his first year at Bryan Station, Stuckey had made a big impression. His family tells 27 NewsFirst he had dreams of becoming an NFL running back. Stuckey was also a member of the varsity football team, the track team and ROTC.

Colonel Greg Coker with the ROTC says he was a well-liked student who was elected Prince of the freshman class for the ROTC ball held at the beginning of this semester.

Superintendent Stu Silberman says all four students involved in the crash are very active at school. He says the driver of the car was a member of the soccer team. He says that the Bryan Station community is close.

The Fayette County Coroner says Stuckey died from multiple blunt force trauma.

Well I'm a freshman at Ballard High, and when I was in the bathroom, i saw a note on the stall that said "R.I.P. Nate Stuckey," and i thought to myself, "That couldn't be the nate stuckey from field elementary could it?" I thought back to times in the school gym, when he would always sing "My name is Stuckey and I am lucky . . .," in order to convince people to pick him for their teams. You guys are right! He really did always have a smile on his bright face, and I only know that from knowing him in my class during elementary school. So when I came home and searched Google for his name, I was so sad to see that it was the Nate I knew, the Nate that I'd always known would go on to do something amazing in his life with the kind of spirit he had. For his family and friends, I wish the best for you, through the mourning of this wonderful kid- my heart goes out to you. And I totally agree with whoever wrote on that bathroom stall- R.I.P., Nate. You're missed.

First and formost my prayers to all involved. Second, EVERYONE NEEDS TO JUST SLOW DOWN WHEN DRIVING!!!! Third, if it would be alright with the family of the young man that died, to take this car around to high schools in the state and let teenagers look first hand at what can happen to them when they get to the point where they think that things like this don't happen to them. I don't know if it would help but a similar sitution like this happen to me when I was young and it stayed on my mind for a long time. If only one life were saved ith would be worth it all.
